posted in CelebritiesJohn Legend and Chrissy Teigen's baby girl has arrived! After a long road to parenthood that was made difficult by infertility, the duo have much to celebrate today as their bundle of joy is in their arms.
The singer and first-time father did the honor of announce his daughter's birth to fans by sharing this message on Twitter:
Our new love is here! Luna Simone Stephens, born on Thursday, the 14th. We couldn't be happier!

Welcome to the world, Luna Simone Stephens!
Chrissy chose to spread the word on Instagram, with a photo revealing their baby girl weighed 6 pounds, 11 ounces at birth.
Along with the pic she wrote, "She's here! Luna Simone Stephens, we are so in love with you! And sleepy. Very sleepy."
John recently gushed about his wife, telling Us Weekly, "I think pregnancy in itself is a beautiful thing and it’s an exciting thing, and I think we’ve really enjoyed – or at least I’ve really enjoyed — seeing what her becoming a mother brings out in her. I think it’s beautiful. You start to evolve a bit when you know you have a new life that is growing inside you and you’re about to bring into the world."
We may very soon be hearing some fatherhood-inspired works from the new dad.
"There’s definitely songs that I’ve written about being a new father and thinking about what that means," John said in March. "I think she’ll probably be a mix of us and I think that’ll be a good thing."
Other little ones named Luna in the celebrity world include Penelope Cruz's daughter with Javier Bardem, Ellen Pompeo's daughter Stella Luna, and Uma Thurman's daughter (whose full name is Rosalind Arusha Arkadina Altalune Florence Thurman-Busson, but she goes by Luna!).
