Head over heels!

New mom Chrissy Teigen has the look of love in a sweet first photo with her baby girl Luna Simone.

The intimate shot shows make-up free mama sitting outside, staring down adoringly at her tiny diaper-clad newborn. "Hi my lulu!" Chrissy captioned the image, which she shared on Instagram today. (See the photo here!)

Both Chrissy and her husband John Legend announced little Luna's birth online earlier this week: "She's here!" the 30-year-old model Tweeted of her daughter, who was born weighing 6lbs 11oz. "Luna Simone Stephens, we are so in love with you! And sleepy. Very sleepy."

Added the proud new papa: "Our new love is here! Luna Simone Stephens, born on Thursday, the 14th. We couldn't be happier!"

New baby joy is kind of contagious, isn't it? It's hard not to smile when you see that first photo, particularly in light of how long Chrissy and John have been waiting for these moments.

Shortly before announcing her pregnancy last October, the Cravings author opened up about their years-long journey to conceive, saying, “I would say, honestly, [that] John and I were having trouble. We would have had kids five, six years ago if it had happened, but my gosh, it’s been a process.... Once you open up about those things with other people, you start learning that a lot of people are seeing these people [fertility doctors], and they have this shame about it."

Now that Luna is finally here, it sounds like we'll be seeing quite a lot of her. Unlike famous moms like Kristen Bell, who shy away from sharing photos of their children, Chrissy recently revealed that she and her Grammy-winning husband tend to share a lot of their personal lives online.

“We’re not going to go out of our way to hide because obviously it’s such a big part of our lives to show everything: the inside of our homes, my parents living with us, our animals, everything. I’m not going to do sneaky back shots of her or anything," she told PEOPLE, adding, “You don’t want to force your kid on anyone either. It’s important for me and John to protect some bits of us, but it’s hard to say. I didn’t think I would be the person sharing bump photos, so who knows.”

Congratulations again to John and Chrissy on their adorable new arrival!
