Eva Amurri has much to celebrate with fans today, as she not only has a pregnancy to announce but the world itself has shifted!

"It is with so much joy, crazy excitement, and immense gratitude that Kyle, Marlowe and I would like to announce we are expecting a new addition to our family this Fall," the actress, who previously opened up about having a miscarriage, wrote on her blog Tuesday.

The daughter of Susan Sarandon went on to say she and her husband are thrilled their 20-month-old daughter Marlowe is going to become a big sister, and they're "cherishing our last months with her as the sole center of our Universe."

In a cute note to the guilt some parents feel over bringing a second child into the family, Eva added, "We are almost positive that scientifically it is possible for the Universe to shift and have two very cute and demanding centers (at least that’s what we’ve been told– don’t lie to us, Scientists!)."

Jumping straight ahead to reveal the sex of baby-on-the-way, Eva Amurri writes, "Aaaaand, because we have no patience and don’t expect you to either, we would also like to tell you that we are expecting A BABY BOY!!!"

"Our minds are all blown," she continued. "A Boy! As sometimes happens after you have experience with only one child, I think I had convinced myself that my particular baby factory only produced children of the female variety. Well… turns out that the Universe was pushing for a little man to join our mix and we all are just so excited!"

Can't you just hear her joy and excitement coming through in her words?! I got a bit of a pregnancy-announcement contact high just reading through her post.

As the mother of two boys I, too, have wondered if "my particular baby factory" only produces one sex of offspring. That thought is a very small part of why we decided not to go for baby three, as a matter of fact. I love having two boys a ton, but even the idea of three makes my eyes go wide and the feeling of being overwhelmed creep in.

I still wonder sometimes if we'd gone ahead and leapt into having baby three how the numbers would have worked out, but at this point it's a mystery that will have to be left unknown.

Congratulations to Eva and the rest of the family, and best wishes for a healthy pregnancy!

All boys, all girls or some of each? How has your family worked out -- and were any of them a surprise to you?
