Sandra Bullock keeps finding herself a hot mess of "happy tears." The actress, who is mom to 5-year-old son Louis, opened up about funny and sweet Mother's Day performance he gave her during a recent visit to The Ellen DeGeneres Show.

Recalling his adoption in 2010 the 50-year-old star shared, "It was so much. I just cry at anything now. I feel like, I mean I didn’t have him that way, but I feel like hormonally."

“But everything he does [makes me cry],” Sandra quickly added. “He sang me a song that he wrote. He said I wrote you a song, and I didn’t have the heart to tell him he plagiarized. But it was you know, ‘Bingo.’ You know ‘Bingo’ the song.”

It gets even sweeter from there.

Sandra Bullock went on to explain, “Well the song was about you know, there was a man who had a dog and bingo was his name-o. There was a mom I love so much and Sandy was her name-o. I’m just like ahhhh. And then he played the harmonica in between and then he just kept looking at me.”

“He’s all boy with a really tender heart,” she added.

Sandy was her name-o! Oh my goodness, I adore that.

Mother's Day is tricky around our house, because I'm not a big fan of stuff and it falls about a week after my birthday. My poor kids are tasked with finding something to offer me twice right in a row, and I don't envy them.

I'm happy to say this year Mother's Day was a huge success though, because my two boys and husband turned our dirty old back porch into a wonderful sitting area where I can work. It has chairs, a side table and even lights! I was thrilled.

However, thinking back over all the years, I think one of my most treasured kid gifts is a drawing of our family made by my younger son. He hates to draw to the point that he has some anxiety about having to do so in class, and so I found it extra special he made the effort to create something for me. You can bet I'll keep it forever.

What did you get for Mother's Day this year? What's the best gift from your kids you've ever received?
