posted in CelebritiesNaya Rivera is among the lucky moms-to-be out there who haven't struggled with morning sickness. The 28-year-old actress, who is currently expecting her first child with husband Ryan Dorsey, has opened up about their somewhat unintentional pregnancy and how she's feeling so far.
In a blog post for People magazine that Glee star wrote, "My husband Ryan and I weren’t exactly trying, but we weren’t not trying to conceive when I found out we were pregnant. I mean, I may have been spotted yelling to my fellow Glee cast mates in our final days of shooting before winter break that I was going to 'switch to tequila all month to try to get knocked up' — but nevertheless, it was a surprise when it actually worked."
Now I know full well that not not trying to get pregnant is a bit of a hot topic -- with many feeling that's the same darn thing is trying to conceive -- but one thing we can't argue about is that Naya Rivera has had a fairly easy go of it so far.
"I had heard horror stories about having gas so bad you’d have to stop valeting your car, or vomiting at the smell of your own morning breath, but I am one of the lucky ones," she went on to share. I never experienced morning sickness and only had an unfortunate vomit incident after a lunch of Thai food (I’ve now sworn off Thai forever).
"I think I truly am one of those women that could either be a surrogate or a testimonial on I Didn’t Know I Was Pregnant because it’s been so easy thus far, and I’m incredibly grateful for that. Especially because I know that every woman is different and most women experience a very different kind of first trimester. One of my best friends is pregnant right now and has had awful nausea for weeks."
It are currently turning green with envy (or barf), take heart knowing that the honeymoon phase seems to be tapering off of it for night. She went on to share that as her pregnancy progresses she currently feels "the size of a small studio apartment and am constantly thirsty, out of breath, and tired."
Tired. Yes! Now that is a comment I can relate to.
Along with facing a lot of nausea, and throwing up a handful of times, the biggest change during my early pregnancy days was the exhaustion. I simply couldn't function for more than a few hours at a time and could fall asleep in under a minute of sitting down. I remember it being frustrating to never have energy to do anything, but also a bit amusing. It was a little bit fun to experience something new in early pregnancy as I waited for my baby bump to finally show up.
Aside from a positive pregnancy test, what made you know you were pregnant?
