Everyone's favorite royal family released their official holiday family photo today and, as expected, it's beyond adorable.
"The Duke and Duchess are hugely appreciative of all the warm messages they have received about their family this year and are very much looking forward to their first Christmas as a family of four," reads the message accompanying the sweet shot.
There's so much to love about this picture: George's gap-tooth grin, Kate's Farrah Fawcett-esque bangs, the way William is keeping a very close eye on his rambunctious toddler. My favorite part, though, just might be baby Charlotte's missing shoe lying on the grass. They may be royalty, but that's a scene that's familiar to every parent.
There was more big news from Kate and William today: George is starting preschool in the new year!
As of January, the 2 1/2-year-old will be attending Westacre Montessori School a few mornings a week, following in the footsteps of his dad and Uncle Harry, who also went to Montessori schools.
Named for its founder, Italian physician and educator Maria Montessori, Montessori programs have been offered since 1907. According to BabyCenter, teachers (or "guides," as they're called) focus on five main areas: Practical life, sensory awareness education, language arts, mathematics and geometry and cultural subjects.
From the sounds of it, His Royal Highness Prince George won't be receiving any special treatment at his new school: "We are looking forward to welcoming George to our nursery where he will get the same special experience as all of our children," a representative from the school said in response to today's announcement.
Even so, I'm sure his classmates will one day be telling their kids all about how they used to play trains with the future King of England!
