Why Jimmy Fallon says "poor Franny" about his baby girl

Jimmy Fallon has a teensy bit of pity for his daughter Franny, as things aren't exactly the same when you're the second-born child.

Opening up to People about his family, the father of 22-month-old Winnie and 6-month-old Francis explained, "Poor Franny has no original clothes. Every single thing you’re like, ‘Aww, I remember when Winnie used to wear that,’ and she’s already rolling her eyes like, ‘When am I getting my own things?'"

Still, Jimmy Fallon does think there are some perks to having a sibling.

"I had a sister, and my wife had a brother," the proud dad went on to share. "It’s just good to have a brother or sister in the house that can tell you that your hair looks weird before you go to school or you can’t wear that. You need that."

I too think there are some great advantages to having a brother or sister, but all of the sharing of clothes is something that stood out to me also. In fact, I made a point of buying our second son some of his own clothes, and setting aside some of my firstborn's clothing not be handed down. Is that silly?

At the time I was quite hormonal, and I just couldn't handle the idea of diluting the memory of what our first child had looked like in a certain onesie or zip-up pajama. In addition, I didn't like the idea of boy number two only ever having to fill where his big brother had been. Don't get me wrong -- for the most part everything went into the hand-me-down bin -- but each kid had probably a dozen or so things that were just his own through the first year.

My boys are 10 and 9 right now however, and all that sentimental stuff is long gone. These days it's not only a matter of everything being a hand-me-down, but they're close enough in size that they practically share the clothes as soon as I buy them!

Can you also relate to what Jimmy Fallon is saying? How do handle clothes in your house?
