Ryan Gosling and Eva Mendes are now officially the parents of two sweet babies! The private couple, who welcomed daughter Esmerelda in 2014, have welcomed another daughter into their lives.
Did someone say April 29? By golly, that's a pretty rad birthdate. Just saying (as someone who blew out 35 candles on a cake just a few weeks ago on that exact same day)! Despite our decades apart, Andre Agassi, little Amada, and I are all thrilled to share this lovely date.
If the name Amada sounds familiar to you, it may be because you recall Ryan and Eva's firstborn daughter's full name is Esmeralda Amada Gosling. So the younger sister has her older sister's middle name as her first name.
It wasn't all that long ago I heard about kids' names being looked at together and the term "sibset" applied if they flow. I admit I had to wonder what this pair would follow up Esmerelda with...and though at first glance I thought baby two's name was Amanda I now see it's a unique pick as well. Perhaps unusual that the sister share the name in a way, but it's clear Eva's grandmother continues to be important to the family.
I went a bit conservative with my first child's name, then a tiny bit more out there for my second. And though my husband and I both have names you can easily spell by hearing them, mine is far more common than his -- so I guess in that sense we match our kids?
