Janet Jackson pregnancy news is once again sweeping the web, with ET reporting a source has confirmed to them the singer is, indeed, pregnant!
Though Janet has been the subject of pregnancy rumors off and on for years, the news site's post comes just weeks after she announced to fans she'll be postponing her tour until 2017.
"We’re in the second leg of the tour and there actually has been a sudden change," she explained in a Twitter video posted on April 6. "I thought it was important that you be the first to know. My husband and I are planning our family, so I’m going to have to delay the tour."
"Please, if you could try and understand that it’s important that I do this now," she added. "I have to rest up, doctor’s orders. But I have not forgotten about you. I will continue the tour as soon as I possibly can."
Though it wasn't entirely clear at the time if Janet Jackson was announcing her own pregnancy (or possibly the beginnings of fertility treatments), the unnamed source now say she really is expecting at 49.
That means Mother's Day is going to be especially sweet for Janet and husband Wissam Al Mana, and then next month it's birthday time! Janet is due to celebrate turning 50 years old on May 16.
TMZ notes it's "unclear how far along she is, but if you assume she's at least 3 months pregnant -- it'll probably be summer 2017 before Janet and her fans are ... Together Again."
In 2008 she spoke of starting a family, telling ET she "would love to have children of our own, but we also would love to adopt. So, we'll see what happens. It'll happen someday."
That same year she mentioned freezing her eggs by sharing, "You can have your eggs frozen. There are all sorts of things you can do these days."
Sounds like something has worked! Best wishes go out to Janet and Wissam as they embark on starting their family.
