When fans of Tia Mowry spotted noticed their favorite star looking a little fuller in the midsection than usual they thought perhaps their was baby news to celebrate -- but it turns out their speculation has only rubbed this famous mom the wrong way.

"I just looked at my Instagram […] and someone was insinuating that I'm pregnant again," the mother of one shared during a recent appearance on HuffPost Live. "Guys, I'm not pregnant, I am just happy, and I've gained these extra 10, 15 lbs. because of my cooking show!"

Tia, who is pictured here on December 4, went on to insist she's perfectly fine with her slightly fuller figure. "I'm just enjoying life, and when I want to drop the pounds I will, but right now I'm happy with who I am," she said.

But that doesn't mean she's necessarily happy with the speculation about changes in her body leading to pregnancy gossip.

"It's pretty unfortunate," the mother of 4-year-old son Cree went on to say. "We live in a society that is so obsessed with being perfect. Why can't we just be us? Someone even wrote on my Instagram today, 'Looks like you've picked up a little weight. I hope you lose it. I want you to lose it.' It's like, really? Why would you say that? Why do you feel the need to say that?

"We need to be more supportive with body images, especially women, showing that all sizes are beautiful. I'm talking about in magazines, advertisements, in regards to what's sexy and not sexy. We all need to be a little more supportive of each other."

It seems to me that over the last year or so we have come a long way with "real beauty" more press than ever before, but I can't argue there isn't still progress to be made. We all seem to know that pin-thin photoshopped models in magazines create unrealistic ideals, but campaigns with average-sized people are still far from the norm.

All I can think is thank goodness I'm not a celebrity mom. The tabloids would have been speculating on my years-long pregnancy (or, should we say cushy midsection) for close to a decade now. Good on Tia for speaking up for herself and taking the conversation in a positive direction!
