Kylie Jenner plots an interesting time to quit Instagram

Kylie Jenner is nearly as synonymous with social media as her famous sister, Kim Kardashian, is, but unlike the mother of two this 18-year-old sees swearing off sharing her life so publicly in the future.

"Once I have a kid, I’m not going to be on Instagram," Kris Jenner's youngest daughter told Elle UK in their latest issue. "You know, I’ll probably delete my Instagram and just . . . I don’t know, live life."

If you're curious what Kylie Jenner pictures herself doing once she'll no longer be entertaining her 46 million followers, the Keeping Up With the Kardashians imagined her life at 95 by sharing:

"I would love to have a family, and build a home with a farm in Malibu Canyon and just have my kids and throw away my phone, and just really, like, live my life and not do this anymore."

And it does sound as though life in the public eye is already starting to wear on this teen. "Everything I do, there’s a huge light on it," she went on to say before adding, "I never wish to have somebody else’s life — I was meant to have this life for a reason, and I’m going to make the best out of it. But I have normal friends. I sit at my house, and they practically live with me, and I watch them get ready to go to a high school party, hang out with their friends, go to concerts."

Given how Kylie has grown up I can understand her thinking behind quitting social media once she has kids, but I have to say I have little confidence it will actually happen.

For one, her celebrity status will likely only rise during her pregnancy, and more offers than ever will (if that's even possible) will likely come her way. There'll be opportunities for sponsored reveals, maternity lines and even a post-baby weight loss endorsement.

Secondly, it's so dang hard once you become a parent not to share all of the adorable pictures of your children. Who among us hasn't had that, "Sorry friends, but I just can't help myself -- wait, here's a few more" feeling? Us parents are notorious for oversharing, and I have to imagine when Kylie becomes a mom she'll feel the same impulse.

Have you thought about quitting social media? What made you do it, or what's keeping you from cutting the cord?

Though it's doubtful Kylie will become a mom in 2016, there are a number of celebrities gearing up to welcome a bundle of joy in the new year. Take a look:
