A mom's gotta do what a mom's gotta do...

Country singer Carrie Underwood recently had a scary moment when her 4-month-old son Isaiah - and her two beloved pups, Penny and Ace - wound up locked in the car.

All three are now doing just fine, though, after a rather heroic rescue effort. Carrie, whose husband is NHL star Mike Fisher, took to Twitter to recount the story to her more than 4 million followers.

I wonder if she did it with a Louisville Slugger? Sorry, I couldn't resist the obvious joke.

Carrie's confession got plenty of sympathy from other moms who have been through similar situations. "When my son was teeny the wind blew my car door locked him inside. Had to call husband & wait in pouring rain. #momfistbump," wrote @scatteredmom.

The 32-year-old got some support from a famous friend, too. Lady Antebellum's Hillary Scott, who has almost 2-year-old daughter Eisele, Tweeted this reply:

A huge animal lover, Carrie does consider Penny and Ace to be her first babies. You may recall she even recruited them to announce her pregnancy last year, sharing a pic of the pups wearing “I’m going to be a big brother” and “I’m going to be a big sister” shirts.

Glad to hear that this story had a happy ending!

Have you ever been in this situation?

These cute pregnancy announcements star the family pet, too:
