Several days after her rumored due date, the Duchess of Cambridge has yet to deliver baby #2 - and it seems all of this waiting is starting to make people a little crazy.
Kate has apparently yet to arrive at St. Mary's Hospital in London, where she's expected to deliver, but that hasn't stopped royal watchers from camping out there for days. With faces painted and flags flying, they've taken up temporary residence outside of the hospital's Lindo Wing, where Prince George was born in 2013, as they await the big announcement.
Adding to the strange atmosphere, earlier today 2 huge, 10-foot tall teddy bears - one wearing a blue ribbon, the other with a pink - made an appearance, circling the hospital on the back of a truck.
These over-nighters may be the most devoted of Kate's fans, but they're definitely not the only ones on high alert for any bit of news about the baby on the way. A look at the #GreatKateWait on Twitter shows that plenty of folks are losing sleep - literally! - over the impending royal delivery.
Meanwhile, PEOPLE has "minute by minute, real time review" live coverage of the wait, speculation is rampant that Kate's delivery will be timed to the coming full moon and - this one is my personal favorite - there are reports that UK moms-to-be are trying to delay their own labors, in hopes that they can time their deliveries to coincide with the Duchess of Cambridge's. Now that's devotion.
See what I mean? Things are getting kind of crazy.
In the midst of all of this madness, nobody seems to quite know where the mom-to-be is at the moment. All I can say is, if Duchess Kate really is so many days past her due date, my heart goes out to her. I went two full weeks past mine - those were the longest two weeks of my life!
Did your baby arrive early, late or right on time?
