Why Chrissy Teigen won't be bothering with a nursery theme

Chrissy Teigen is one mom-to-be who just doesn't get the hype surrounding having a perfect nursery. The beauty, who is currently expecting a baby girl with husband John Legend, recently opened up to InStyle Australia about her maternity clothes advisor, keeping fit and getting ready for baby.

"I always wanted to be the person who showed off the bump because it looks beautiful and I think you should embrace it," the 30-year-old, who got advice from friend Kim Kardashian to "go stretchy" with her clothes, shared.

"Kim does that well and I love seeing that belly of hers and I know Kanye does too — we’re lucky to be with men who find pregnancy sexy."

As far as giving into cravings goes Chrissy Teigen explained, "With me, it’s always been a tough balance — when I work out I can eat whatever I want, but I come from a family where we blow up really quickly; so does John. It’s like we have a bad weekend and you can tell. So we are really conscious of having a nice balance."

Despite being open to sharing how things are going, there's no word from the parents-to-be on what their daughter will be called.

"We change the name every day, basically," she explained -- and there's not much to report on the nursery front, either.

In a comment I'm personally inclined to agree with, Chrissy added, "Nurseries have always been silly to me because everyone always wants them to be so beautiful and so perfect, but this thing is just going to barf everywhere and poop everywhere."

Can't you almost picture a barf and poop themed baby room? A bit like splats of camouflage on the walls.

Sorry about that visual. Honestly though, my apathy and ineptitude for decorating sadly didn't disappear while I was pregnant with either of our sons.

Our firstborn ended up with a Winnie the Pooh themed room, because his grandma decided that's the line of items she was inclined to purchase as gifts, and our second son didn't get much more than some star decals put up. We moved not long before he was born, and I was just too tired to do much more than add the navy stickers to the board running around the middle of his walls, separating the navy colored bottom half from the white top half.

In Chrissy-speak though, our first nursery was actually covered in a sheen of quiet panic and accented with dollops of spit-up. Baby two brought about an accent of overwhelmed, and a sprinkling of ear-piercing cries.

What were your nurseries like? Realistically, what should your nursery theme be described as?
