Ten years ago Elton John never could have conceived his life would be what it is today. The "Rocket Man" singer, now 68-years-old, recently stopped by The Ellen DeGeneres Show to talk about being the dad of two.

"If you'd had said to me 10 years ago I'd be sitting on your show married to the man I love and have two beautiful children I would have said you put acid in my drink," the father of Zachary, 5, and Elijah, 3, said during an episode that aired Monday.

"They are the greatest thing in our lives. There's no words to describe how much we love these boys. They're just amazing," Elton continued.

The legendary musician went on to share that his sons aren't currently all that impressed by their father's music.

"I mean they love 'Hotline Bling' that's their favorite song. And they love 'Uptown Funk' and Zachary likes 'Kraftwerk,' which is a bit worrying," he explained.

The boys, who were welcomed into the world by the same surrogate fellow celebrity dad Kelsey Grammer enlisted the help of, thankfully do know a few of their dad's famous tunes. The little sweeties can sing along to "Rocket Man," "Don't Go Breaking My Heart" and "Bennie and the Jets."

They're so big!

For those who haven't yet heard, Ellen and wife Portia de Rossi are sticking to their plans not to have children -- but they did adopt a "kid." Last week the pair announced they welcomed a puppy into their home, which they've chosen to name Kid.

Ellen explained, "It really makes me appreciate what it’s like to be a mother. Because like I’m trying to hold a puppy while I’m trying to make coffee. And I can’t do anything. He doesn’t let me do anything. And I named him Kid because, you know, people… There have been rumors forever. ‘When are you and Portia gonna have a kid?’ So, now I can say we have a Kid. So it can just stop."

Funny, funny ladies.

Ten years ago would you have been able to picture your life how it is today? What parts yes, and what parts are a total surprise?
