posted in CelebritiesIt's a big day for the royal family!
The Duke and Duchess of Cambridge were joined by family and friends - as well as a throng of adoring fans - for the christening of their 2-month-old daughter Charlotte today.
Kate and William were all smiles as they made their way into Sandringham's St. Mary Magdalene church in Norfolk this afternoon, little Charlotte in the stroller and big brother George holding tight to his dad's hand.
As always, the almost 2-year-old stole the show, happily waving to the delighted crowds as they passed by.
These lovely photos from the occasion mark the first time we've seen the family-of-four all together.
Take a look...
That shot of George on tippy-toe to peek into his sister's stroller is just too sweet!
As for his red-and-white outfit, it's almost an exact replica of the one that William wore to his brother Harry's christening back in 1984. That seems to be something of a royal tradition.
The beautiful little guest of honor, Princess Charlotte, wore the same ivory christening gown that her brother wore to his christening in 2013. As for their always stylish mom Kate, she looked picture perfect in a cream-colored Alexander McQueen suit, which she topped with a Jane Taylor fascinator.
Also in attendance for the small, private ceremony were all five of the Duke and Duchess' godparent picks, which were announced earlier in the day. While Prince Harry and Kate's siblings Pippa and James were left off the list, they did select several longtime friends and close family members: Tom van Straubenzee, James Meade, Sophie Carter, Laura Fellowes (niece of the late Princess Diana) and Kate's cousin Adam Middleton.
The 30-minute service was presided over by the Archbishop of Canterbury, who delivered a homily which began with this lovely sentiment:
"It seems that different forms of ambition are hard wired into almost all of us. At a baptism our ambitions are rightly turned into hopes and prayers for the child, today for Princess Charlotte. Everyone wants something for their children. At our best we seek beauty, not necessarily of form, but of life."
