One of the Goop creator's latest posts offers up suggestions for how to tone up the group of muscles that attach to the bones at the bottom of your pelvis. Particularly after having a baby things can end up out of whack, which leads to some women experiencing peeing when they sneeze, run, jump or laugh (also known as urinary incontinence).
"Try peeing in the shower squatting down," the site instructs. "When you squat to pee as opposed to sitting up straight on the toilet, you automatically engage your pelvic floor and it naturally stretches and tones."
It goes on to say, "Having sex is not only fun, but it's great for your body, mind, spirit, and pelvic floor - and it helps you exist in the moment. Sex chemically elevates mood and reduces depression, and orgasms trigger a rush of endorphins and human growth hormones, while also reducing cortisol levels. Practice squeezes and letting go...your partner will love it!"
While it's not entirely clear if Gwyneth Paltrow wrote this latest Goop article or another person did, the actress is no stranger to offering up advice about how women should care for themselves. For example, one previous post recommended steam cleaning your vagina.
Is this celebrity mom of two on to something? I have to say I'm one of the lucky ones who isn't dealing with this particular issue, but many of my fellow bloggers are. I got the stretch marks pretty good, so don't go thinking I lucked out entirely, but I am thankful this isn't also something I'm dealing with.
