Hearts broke and dreams were shattered yesterday when news leaked that Ryan Gosling is about to become a dad. Yes, it seems it's official: Every woman's fantasy boyfriend is having a baby - very soon - with his actual, real-life girlfriend, actress Eva Mendes.
If you're among those who harbor a hidden crush on the Drive star, don't worry: I get it. Ryan Gosling is the ukelele-strumming, dog-loving, peace-making, sky-eyed hipster superhero of our dreams. I mean, the guy has a tattoo of the cover of Shel Silverstein's The Giving Tree because his mom used to read it to him when he was a kid. So yeah, I get it.
That being said, it's probably not very nice of us to spiral into mourning over the announcement. After all, a baby is always a reason to celebrate, right? So let's do it in the best way possible: With a brand new crop of "Hey Girl" images that are perfectly suited to pregnancy.

Congratulations to Ryan and Eva on their very happy news. And if you're still feeling a little bit down, just close your eyes and try to picture Ryan Gosling wearing his newborn baby in an Ergo. Swoon. See? There's always a silver lining.
