Its a Hollywood baby boom!
There was plenty of baby news coming out of Hollywood in 2015. Famous moms like Kim Kardashian and Jessa Duggar seemed to constantly make headlines as their due dates approached, while others like Zooey Deschanel and Ashlee Simpson kept a lower profile.
Of course, every pregnancy is cause for celebration, but according to Google there were a few that really held our attention over the past year.
The tech company recently released its list of the most searched terms of 2015, an interesting measure of what, and who, we found fascinating in the year gone by.
The ranking isn't always a sign of success; the most searched person of 2015 was Lamar Odom, the troubled former NBA star and ex-husband of Khloe Kardashian who was found unconscious in a Nevada brothel in October.
The most searched singer? Adele. Wedding? Sofia Vergara and Joe Manganiello. Recipe? Anything involving pumpkin seeds. Fashion tip? How to walk in high heels. I'm still trying to figure that last one out myself.
When it came to the most sought out celebrity pregnancies, the top 10 is actually pretty surprising. Here's how it ended up:
1. Kim Kardashian: No surprise here. After struggling to conceive again, Kim and her husband Kanye West announced in May that they were expecting a sibling for their daughter North. The reality star didn't shy away from sharing the ups and, mainly, the downs of pregnancy, calling it "the worst experience of my life." Kim and Kanye's son Saint West was born in December. (REX USA)
2. Nicole Curtis: The host of HGTV's hit show Rehab Addict took the #2 spot after announcing her pregnancy in July. This will be the second child for Nicole, 38, who has talked in the past about being a "struggling single mom" to her son Ethan, now 18. (HGTV.com)
3. Bristol Palin: "I know this has been, and will be, a huge disappointment to my family, to my close friends, and to many of you," Bristol wrote when she announced her second pregnancy in June. The news came a month after the 25-year-old revealed her split from her fiancé Dakota Meyer. Bristol, who is also mom to son Tripp, 7, welcomed daughter Sailor on December 23. My "heart just doubled," she wrote, sharing the news of the birth. (REX USA)
4. Jessa Duggar: The Dugger daughter's pregnancy proved to be a bright spot in a difficult year for the controversial family. Jessa and her husband Ben Seewald, who tied the knot in 2014, excitedly shared their happy pregnancy news in April. They followed up with regular bump shots and belly updates before finally announcing the birth of son Spurgeon Elliot Seewald, nickname Quincy, in November. (TLC)
5. Tiffani Thiessen: The 41-year-old White Collar star kicked off 2015 with a pregnancy announcement. "Harper could not be a lot more thrilled to have a sibling and a playmate," she wrote of her 5-year-old daughter. Tiffani and her husband, actor Brady Smith, welcomed son Holt Fisher on July 1. 6. Teyana Taylor: Next on Google's list is singer, dancer and actress Teyana Taylor. The 25-year-old, who is engaged to NBA player Iman Shumpert, welcomed daughter Iman Tayla Shumpert Jr. on December 16 in a dramatic birth. "Not knowing I was in labor until I felt her head...it took two ten count pushes with my fiancé playing Dr and she entered this world into his bare hands!” Teyana wrote. "Eyes full of tears and barely able to speak to the emergency operator @imanshumpert tied a pair of red headphones around the umbilical cord and the ambulance made there grand entrance 5 min later." 8. Ginger Zee: Born Ginger Renee Colonomos, this new mom clearly has plenty of fans out there. The weather anchor for ABC's Good Morning America and ABC World News Tonight, Ginger Zee and her husband Benjamin Aaron Colonomos announced in June that they were expecting their first child, and later found out the gender of the baby in an on-air segment. 9. Coco Austin: Reality stars Ice T and Coco's pregnany received a lot of attention in 2015, thanks in part to the first-time mom's mere 13-lb baby weight gain. The couple, who will be celebrating their 14th wedding anniversary in 2016, welcomed daughter Chanel Nicole Marrow in November. (REX USA)
10. Maci Bookout: The former Teen Mom star made another pregnany announcement in 2015, revealing that she and her boyfriend Taylor McKinney were expecting a baby. Diagnosed with polycystic ovary syndrome, Maci, also mom to son Bentley, said, "We were very concerned that we might not be able to have a child of our own, so we talked about adoption. I have to admit, there are a couple names on that list I'd never even heard before!
With 2016 just hours away, there are already plenty of famous moms-to-be on tabloid "bump watch" for the year ahead. Kelly Clarkson, Lisa Ling, Chrissy Tiegen... We'll have to wait and see who makes Google's list next December!
