posted in CelebritiesPeople are starting to notice something unusual about Coco Austin, who is now 28 weeks pregnant with her and Ice T's first child together. E! News is just one of many outlets to report on the model mom-to-be's lack of size, posting an article titled in part "Coco May Have the Smallest Baby Bump We've Ever Seen" over the weekend.
Using Twitter photos Coco herself posted as evidence, they point to this recent image of the pregnant talk show host, which she captioned, "Chilling baby..I'm just chillin... Backstage at BC concert supporting my man..Thats how I roll #28weeks."
Coco Austin recently posted a new pregnancy blog, sharing she and Ice are "very excited" to meet the daughter they've chosen the name Chanel for. She wrote, "We had a baby picked out 10 years ago and we just want a healthy baby. God is on my side and he gave me what I wanted and I'm grateful."
In a previous post she addressed her lack of bump by writing, "I call myself the most unpregnant pregnant person. Now I'm six months and nothing has changed. My stomach is now a lump instead of a bump. I call it a lump because it's not physically a bump because you have to push it out to see it."
She continued:
"When I posted that Instagram last week showing off my baby 'lump,' I had to push out to show something because some people still don't think I'm pregnant. I don't have anything to prove to anyone. My stomach is growing slowly."
It's not that there is no part of her body growing as the weeks pass, however. In a recent tweet Coco wrote, "Where's my baby bump? Basically its going ALL 2 my boobs. LOL almost #26weeks & there's still lil sight of #babychanel."
As someone who blew up to whoa-size pregnant rather quickly, the idea of having a "too small" baby bump doesn't seem like much of a problem at first glance. Really though, Coco is right in that she doesn't have to prove anything to anyone. No one has control of how fast their bump grows or how fast it shows!
I think there are a few factors possibly at play here that are creating Coco's barely-there bump. For starters, she does have a very large chest, which naturally makes her waist seem smaller. Secondly, she's a pro at creating illusion. Coco has long chosen outfits and lines that accentuate her figure in the way she prefers, and I imagine she's able to still trick the eye as she pleases. Thirdly, and most importantly of all, every pregnancy is just different. Baby Chanel may not be showing just yet, but 28 weeks isn't really all that many. Let's give this mom-to-be a break, as well as some time for things to evolve.
