Taking to her Instagram account to share the news with fans, the former reality star posted a photo Friday which shows her dangling a pair of pink baby shoes behind her spouses back! The message she included reads: "The boys are so excited for a little sister!!!!!"
I know full-well that my need-to-know nature is always curious what people are having, but when families like Kristin Cavallari's announce I'm itching to find out even more than usual. You see, I have two boys just as she does, and have always wondered what would have happened if we'd gone for number three. Obviously her situation has no impact on what might have been for me, but families of two (particularly those who have two kids of the same sex) that are expecting number three are my favorite reveals.
To be clear, the thought of having another boy isn't what made us decide not to go for it. In fact, one of my favorite families to be around lately is one from my kids' baseball team that is made up of a mom, dad and three boys full of giggles. They're simply fascinating to me.
The truth is we stopped at two kids because I wasn't sure our budget (or my sanity) could afford more. Still, I don't think I'll ever stop be curious about who number three for us would have turned out to be.
