David Burtka suspects which twin is biologically Neil Patrick Harris'

Neil Patrick Harris and David Burtka have chosen not to find out which of their twins they are biologically related to, but all the same David has his suspicions. The father of 4-year-olds Harper and Gideon opened up about his best guess during a recent visit to The Wendy Williams Show, explaining it's their personalities he believes gives it away.

The 39-year-old said he thinks Harper might be biologically his because “She’s like, ‘Hey everybody, I’m here!’ ” Meanwhile, Gideon is likely Neil's child. David went on to say he believes so because “He’s a little more heady and intellectual.”

David Burtka went on to talk about how their twins were conceived by sharing, "It’s a lot harder for gay guys [to have kids], although we tried! He explained there were "two different women involved. There was an egg donor, a wonderful woman who was anonymous. We took two of our best guys and implanted them into her eggs, two different eggs." The other woman he mentioned was their surrogate.

You certainly can't tell who is the father of which twin just by looking at them!

I find David comments to be quite interesting. Mine and my husband's two children are biologically both of ours, so we're not even close to in the same position as David and Neil, but I have to wonder how much you can tell who a child comes from by their personality.

Our younger son seems to be an awful lot like me, and that's not necessarily tooting my own horn. He's feisty and stubborn and reminds me so much of myself in my younger days. However, our older son reminds me most of our older brothers! Maybe it's because he's the firstborn, but I notice so much that he has a sense of responsibility and drive to do well that my husband and I both saw our older siblings have. I'm continually amazed by how our two children, who were created by the same parents, are so different.
