Ryan Phillippe seems as shocked as the rest of us to see Ava Phillippe, his daughter with ex-wife Reese Witherspoon, is now 15 years old.
Tweeting about her birthday on September 9, the actor shared, "15 yrs ago today, was my last [day] on The Way of the Gun. A helicopter waited off set to transport me from the 'Mexican brothel' in Utah to Cedars Sinai in Beverly Hills.
"With my stomach in knots, exhausted & dirty, covered in syrupy fake blood & shards of candy glass the [helicopter] found the pad and I was taken to an area to sterilize myself. I made it to my then wife's bedside w/ two hours to spare before my baby girl first entered the world."

The day after Ryan shared these sweet tweets, he celebrated a milestone birthday of his own by turning 40! Crazy how time passes so quickly sometimes.
Although less dramatic than being covered in fake blood and being shuttled via helicopter, both of my labors interrupted my husband at work too. We had a system in place, where one call to his phone meant I just wanted to chat and he should answer it if he could but if not no big deal. If I called a second, or third, or even fourth time in quick succession it meant answer NOW -- it's go-time!
