Leighton Meester & Adam Brody had a baby (check out her name)!

It's hard to think of a less likely prime time couple than Gossip Girl's Blair Waldorf and The OC's Seth Cohen. Off screen, though, the actors who played the characters seem to be a perfect match. And now they're parents, too!

Leighton Meester and Adam Brody, who tied the knot in 2014, welcomed their first child together on August 4. The couple kept the pregnancy under wraps, choosing not to officially confirm the news - even when Leighton's growing bump became impossible to miss.

Perhaps not surprisingly, they also kept the details of the birth to themselves, but TMZ is now reporting that the baby is a little girl named... drum roll, please... Arlo Day Brody.

Little Arlo's childhood will likely be very different from the one her now famous mom experienced.

Leighton, 29, has opened up about her "crazy" family in the past. Both of her parents spent time in prison for drug trafficking - the actress was actually born while her mom was incarcerated - and according to New York Magazine, her aunt became the first woman in the United States to get on the U.S. Marshals 15 Most Wanted List after she broke out of jail.

Despite all of that, though, Leighton has said, "It wasn't uncomplicated, but I played outside, I went to the beach. There were happy, fun times."

Here's hoping there are plenty of happy, fun - and blissfully uncomplicated - times ahead for Leighton and her growing family!

Do you love the name Arlo Day?

Traditionally a boys' name, Arlo is becoming a hot pick for baby girls, too. Which other celebs love gender-bending baby names? Take a look...

Ivanka Trump expecting baby #3 - guess who's not happy about it!

Ivanka Trump shared some very big news on her Facebook page today: She's pregnant!

The busy mom and entrepreneur shared the news in a super sweet video today, enlisting the help of her daughter Arabella, 4, and son Joseph, almost 2, to make the big announcement.

The clip (see it here!) shows Ivanka, who is married to Kushner Companies CEO Jared Kushner, sitting on the floor with her pajama-clad cuties.

"Baby 1!" shouts big sister Arabella, holding up a cardboard number.
"Baby 1!" echoes her brother Joseph, adorably flubbing his line before mom reminds him he's supposed to say "Baby 2!"
"Baby 3!" concludes Ivanka.

The funniest part comes when the soon-to-be mom-of-three asks if the kids are happy about having a new baby brother or sister. "Yeah," says Arabella. "Nooo," says her brother.

I love it. You can always count on kids to be honest.

Jared Kushner and Ivanka

GOP front-runner Donald Trump took a brief break from campaigning to celebrate the news of another grandchild on the way, Tweeting, So happy about my daughter @IvankaTrump’s announcement that she will be having a baby this spring. Congratulations!"

Is it just me or is 3 babies becoming the new norm? For a while it seemed as though not many ventured beyond having a family-of-four, but I lately I keep hearing about baby #3. It's not just celebrities who are embracing bigger families, either - several friends of mine have recently welcomed (or are just about to) their third children.

But back to Ivanka: Congratulations to her on the happy news! Here's hoping little Joseph eventually comes around to the idea of being a big brother.

How many kids do you hope to have?

Model mom to critics: Parenting is not a democracy

Coco Rocha recently said something mid-vent that I think might just be genius. The model mom, who is raising 6-month-old daughter Ioni with husband James Conran, got to a point I believe we all need to keep in mind after being criticized for feeding her baby girl formula.

It all started when the world traveler posted an Instagram photo promoting GoButler. Along with an image of her texting to request formula be delivered to her hotel she wrote, "New York...Vancouver B.C...Turtle Bay Oahu and next stop, Sydney Australia! My secret travel weapon is @GoButler helping me get anything I need, where ever and when ever I need it. LOVE THIS SERVICE!! Text GO to 25400 for your own personal butler."

As far as promo posts go there wasn't much notable, but some keen-eyed critics took issue with the included photo of baby Ioni bottle-feeding.

Coco Rocha bottle feeding

After getting an earful, Coco Rocha posted a larger image of Ioni drinking from her bottle with this message:

"Getting a lot of unwanted advice based on my last post. Not that this is anyone's business - I loved breastfeeding Ioni for the first 5 months of her life and then one day my milk went dry. It happens to every mom at different times.

She's been on formula for a few weeks now and seems to be doing just fine. In the last 4 weeks she gained another 2 pounds, grew another inch and is in the 90th percentile for her age. Anyone who has a negative comment to make on the way I raise my baby will be blocked. This is not a democracy, everyone doesn't get a say."

Doesn't that last sentence say it all?

I'll go ahead and assume those who commented about the formula had the best of intentions, and were only trying to spread information about the benefits of breastfeeding, but there has to be a line where parents are left to make their own decisions.

You see, there seems to be this thing that happens with people when they first have children. They care so much, want so badly for every baby to have the best of everything, but in their fervor they sometimes forget to leave space for it to be acceptable for there to be more than one way to go about things. Ultimately, it's up to each and every parent to decide how to care for their child.

Rooster McConaughey reveals why his kids have boozy names

by

Rooster McConaughey, known best to many as Matthew McConaughey's older brother, has scored free beer just by choosing unique names for his children.

The man who is to appear on the reality show West Texas Inventors Club named his son Miller Lyte (in honor of Miller Lite) years ago, but somehow the brand of brew only recently heard of the nod sent their direction. In response, they've sent 61-year-old Rooster a little gift.

Taking the lead with investigative reporting on the topic, TMZ reports the "year's supply" of beer that has been sent the proud father's way is actually 24 cases...with equals out to 1.5 beers per day. A lot for some, but perhaps not for a super fan like Rooster.

For the record, Rooster's birth name falls right in line with his famous brother's normal moniker: Mike. But unlike Matthew's children (Levi, Vida and Livingston), Rooster was exceptionally creative in naming his children.

Are you ready for this? Miller Lyte has a sister named...Margarita Olympia. If you're from Washington, like I am, you easily recognize the middle name is yet another beer nod.

(Rooster is famous for always having a beer in his hand -- lo and behold, this is the one image our photo agency has on file of him, taken just last month.)

Rooster McConaughey kids names

When asked to explain his kids' names Rooster shared, "I'm an older parent. When my wife got pregnant, people teased me, 'You aren’t going to be able to carry around that Miller Lite with you anymore. It’s all over.' I said, 'If things work out the way they might, I'll take Miller Lite to church. [When my son] was born, I named him Miller and his middle name is Lyte."

To be honest, I don't mind the name Miller McConaughey one bit, and I think the subtle nod to something his father obviously treasures isn't too terrible. I'm not the biggest fan of the name Margarita, however. When I pause to think about it though, I don't dislike the name Olympia. Maybe Rooster's daughter will go by her middle name?
