Macklemore's cute co-sleeping picture is a must-see

Macklemore has been busy learning lullabies since the birth of his daughter Sloane Ava Simone last May.

The 'Thrift Store' singer, who wed Sloane's mom Tricia Davis over the summer, may be new to fatherhood, but it already seems to be a perfect fit.

"There is nothing like the joy and happiness that comes from bringing a baby into this universe," Macklemore - aka Ben William Haggerty - recently gushed. "She has filled my heart in ways that I never knew were possible. She is the love of my life."

This week, the internet collectively squealed over the latest picture the 3-year-old posted to Instagram. The super sweet shot shows Macklemore asleep in bed with his baby girl lying swaddled like a little burrito beside him.

"There is nothing better," the singer captioned the pic (see it here!).

Just four months old, little Sloane already has a song dedicated to her. Titled "Growing Up," the track is full of sweet and honest words of wisdom from a first time dad.

Claire Danes: There's pressure to be "romantic" about parenthood

Claire Danes has managed to find a way to describe a part of parenting I've struggled mightily with. The actress, who welcomed son Cyrus in December 2012, recently got candid while speaking about motherhood with Harper's Bazaar UK.

"Being a mum is incredibly challenging, but we still feel a pressure to talk about it in very romantic terms. And it's not just that," the 36-year-old pictured here getting her star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame shared.

"We all have that resentment at times and anxiety about being trapped by the role, that responsibility. And then chemically it can run riot...And there's no 'off' button. [For me] that was the hardest adjustment. You always feel beholden to somebody...And for so long they're like koala bears, you just feel a physical responsibility to be there for them to cling to. It's pretty primal."

As for how little Cyrus is doing these days, Claire Danes shared, "He’s kind of revealing himself to be a bit of a ham, which shouldn’t really be a surprise. A babysitter gave him a kiss goodbye and now he does 'Mwah, mwah' to everybody. Or he says 'Ciao.' It’s ridiculous. I did not teach him that. He sings 'Ee-eye ee-eye oh' to himself all the time. And he’s a toddler, so he says 'No' and 'More' a lot and he’s just started to have temper tantrums. It’s scary."

As someone who has had her fair share of struggles with motherhood I find it immensely refreshing to read this famous mom's words. "Trapped by the role" is exactly how I've felt at times, and reading others go on and on about how great being a parent is only made me feel worse.

Sometimes I wish I were the kind of person who not only could talk about parenthood with a romantic glow, but that I truly felt that way. I've never been a gushy, flowery person though, so I suppose it's rather silly to expect I'd feel otherwise now.

I'm happy to report that as my children have grown and become more independent my feelings have mellowed out, so to anyone else out there who's feeling the same way I say know that there's hope. You won't ever not be a parent once you've had children, but what I couldn't see for a long time is the way things change over the years. The role and its intensity ebbs and flows.

The good news is I don't believe loving being a mom is a requirement of being a good one, and I suspect there are quite a few others out there who feel the same way. Here's hoping that by talking about our feelings frankly those who are struggling to understand why they don't feel head over heels about their new role can know that not only are they not alone, they're perfectly fine.

Love pregnancy? Kim Kardashian just doesn't get you

Kim Kardashian is no longer mincing words on the subject of pregnancy. The expecting star's true feelings about carrying a bundle of joy have been unleashed, and her words don't paint a pretty picture.

In a new post on her app the mother of North West writes, "I’m gonna keep it real: For me, pregnancy is the worst experience of my life! LOL! I don’t enjoy one moment of it and I don’t understand people who enjoy it."

"Maybe it’s the swelling, the backaches or just the complete mindf--k of how your body expands and nothing fits,” she goes on to say. "I just always feel like I’m not in my own skin."

That's not all.

Kim Kardashian went on to vent about "all of the gross things" that come with pregnancy, specifically writing: "Do you know you basically have to wear a diaper for two months afterwards?! LOL! No one told me that! #SoSexy."

It's hard to argue with that point, but let's not forget Kim really wanted to be have another child. Does all of the pining that went on pre-pregnancy mean there's no room left to complain about the less than pleasant parts of expecting? I'm tempted to say yes, but the truth is I don't think so. No matter how much you want to be pregnant the unpleasant parts and sheer length of gestation can wear you down.

I wouldn't go so far as to call pregnancy "the worst experience of my life," but I do recall feeling completely done with the whole thing and wanting my body back. Oh, what I would have given for just one solid night's sleep! The funny thing is, however, the farther I get away from pregnancy the more romantic it becomes. It's amazing how easy it is to forget all the hard parts and just focus on the best bits.

Before signing off from her post Kim added, "Really, it is all SO worth it when you have your precious baby in the end! So for all my complaining, it’s 100 percent worth it and more!!!"

Her and Kanye West's baby boy isn't due to arrive until Christmas Day, so here's hoping she can keep that last bit of perspective in mind for quite a few more weeks!

Drew Barrymore: "They might hate me" but this rule is firm

Drew Barrymore is prepared to incur the wrath of her children if that means doing what she thinks is right by them. The actress, who has daughters Olive and Frankie with husband Will Kopelman, has opened up about putting her foot down on the idea of her girls following in her famous footsteps too soon.

The woman who made her public debut in an advertisement at the age of 11 months says her daughters won't be allowed in the spotlight under they're legally adults.

"I would not let them act. I want them to be kids. They might hate me for it, but there is no way until they are 18," Drew, who is pictured here with her Miss You Already costar Toni Collette, recently explained.

She added: "If they are 18 and still serious about it, of course I'd support that. I'll take it one step at a time."

Drew Barrymore went on to tell Grazia magazine, "My kids know me as the one who wakes them up every day and takes them to classes and gets them dressed. They don't see me as some famous figure."

Sharing a bit of advice on that tricky work-life balance the 40-year-old added, "You make your work a positive thing so your kids see that work is empowering, but then spend more time with them than everything else, so they see it doesn't take you away from them."

I'm not exactly sure where I stand on child stars, because the subject hasn't ever needed to be addressed in my personal life, but I do get making a rule that your kids hate. In our house it's the sport of football that divides.

My eldest, who recently turned 11, is none too pleased with us for deciding he's not allowed to play and swears he's going to try out for a team as soon as he turns 18. I haven't yet been so cruel as to squash his revenge plans by pointing out he'll probably be so far behind in skills by then he won't even have a chance.

I wish it weren't so dangerous to play, but I've weighed the advantages versus the risks and just don't think the math adds up to give it the green light. So, like Drew, I'm willing to take the blame for what I hope is right in the long run.

It didn't take long after Kim Kardashian and Kanye West announced they were expecting again before the baby name memes began.

Apparently it's a joke that never gets old - and Ellen DeGeneres got in on the fun when the expectant mom stopped by the talk show for a chat this week.

"I have names. I came up with some," Ellen said, pulling out a cue card. "Head. Head West. You could do Wild, or The Wild Wild. Mid. Tito. East Meets."

Kim, who is already mom to 2-year-old North West, stopped her there, interjecting, "I do like the name Easton. Easton West. I don’t think my husband likes that name, but I do like it.”

While the reality show star was being quite serious, she still got a laugh from the audience.

A source confirms to HollywoodLife.com that it's no joke: "First off, the name Easton obviously compliments North, but more importantly it has religious significance, which is why Kim loves the name so much. In the Bible, the east represents God’s light. It is the direction that the sun rises, which is symbolic of a new day and beginnings. Kim thinks it’s a powerful and original name. In numerology, the name Easton is a number two, which is associated with peace and beauty."

One name that's definitely not on Kim and Kanye's list, despite the rumors? South West.

“It’s definitely not South, every time someone says South, I just want to roll my eyes," vented Kim. "It’s not a good direction.”

I quite like the name Easton, and I think the name North is kind of cute, too. On their own. Pairing either with the last name West, though? It just screams "road map" to me.

Congratulations!? Sandra Bullock reportedly adopts again

Sandra Bullock very well may now be the mother of two! It's being reported the actress has adopted a sibling for son Louis -- and this time it's a girl!

The 51-year-old star has chosen to expand her family according to RadarOnline, which kicked off the reports of fresh baby news to celebrate with an article published Thursday. They claim "sources close to" the star have spilled the beans, adding the proud mom has finalized the adoption of a baby girl.

Reportedly, Sandra plans to raise the darling with new boyfriend Bryan Randall, who is a model and photographer.

“Sandra’s made it quite clear to Bryan from the start that she’s looking for a husband to raise kids with,” the source said. “She had the paperwork ready to adopt another child but really wanted to do it with the right man, and Bryan’s been checking every box so far.”

Sandra Bullock adopted 5-year-old Louis on her own just as her marriage to reality star Jesse James was falling apart.

Just recently he talked about their ugly 2010 split, telling In Depth With Graham Bensinger:

"The relationship part I was able to put [aside]. I had to stand up in front of the media and take full account for what I did. And I took it all. I took 100 percent of it right on the chin. Nobody does that. Everybody denies it.

The painful part was about Louis, who we adopted. As bad as stuff was between us, we adopted a kid and things got kind of good for a little while and we had that kid to focus on, and, boom, it was over in 24 hours — gone, done.

I got divorced and lost a kid I adopted because of it. Whether that’s fair, whether I should have lost a kid due to infidelity, which I don’t think anybody ever does. But I think with ‘Hollywood Law’ that’s totally fair."

It sounds like Jesse is really missing out on knowing a darling kid.

"I was putting [Louis] to bed and told him that even when I'm old and gray and more wrinkly than I am now, I'll still love him and want to tuck him in," Sandra previously told People. "And he asked why I have wrinkles, and I said, 'Well, I hope some of them are from laughing so much.' And he touched my face and said, 'You're not old, you're just happy.'"

Pregnant supermodel says "don't be afraid of the fat"

Fat is Karolina Kurkova's friend -- at least as far as her pregnancy diet is concerned. The model mom, who is currently expecting baby two with husband Archie Drury, has opened up about what she's currently eating in a piece for The Cut.

"I never really was a big coffee drinker, but now that I'm pregnant, I’ve started to appreciate coffee," the 31-year-old shared while opening up about a typical morning at home. "My husband and I do a little bit of the coffee and we put it in the blender with roasted butter and coconut butter. It's so delicious with all of that fat inside. It doesn't have that coffee taste because, again, I'm not a big coffee drinker, but it's really nice and balanced and creamy."

Pointing out her belly has grown large enough that it gets in the way of her beloved SoulCycle workouts, the runway star wrote of exercising, "I've been really liking barre because it works out your thighs, butt, and your lower back. It just feels good tightening it up and keeping it strong. So I do an hour of that, or sometimes I do core training or weight training. And after that, what I've been doing religiously is rolling out. I use the roller and I roll out my butt, my back, and my thighs. It's kind of a little self-massage."

Karolina Kurkova, who first became a mom when she welcomed son Tobin nearly six years ago, went on to share:

"At the end of the day, why we care about exercise and what we put into our body is because we want to feel good and we want to have a good life! When we feel happy, we are able to inspire other people around us to be happy and we send out good energy. I think people also have this misconception about fat. I think that fat is really good if you eat good fat. Don't be afraid of the fat. It's great for your skin, it's great for your insides."

The advice on fat is something that's taken me a long time to come around on. In the '80s and '90s, when I was growing up, fat-free everything was widely touted as the way to go. My parents dutifully bought skim milk and butter substitutes believing they were doing the best by us, but since that time thinking has taken a turn.

These days I opt for products with regular fat content over fat-free ones with substitutes added in to keep them tasty. That means there's real butter, 1% milk, eggs and avocados almost always in our kitchen. The advice always seems to be changing, so I keep my fingers crossed I'm getting it right for my kids.
